French free streaming platform TF1+ is crossing the border into Switzerland.
It’s part of the commercial channel’s plan to make the streamer available across the French speaking world. In July, TF1+ launched in Belgium and Luxembourg.
Apps are available across the Smart TV universe including Google TV, Android TV, Samsung, LG, Philips on Titan OS, Hisense on Vidaa OS, Amazon Fire TV and Apple TV.
TF1+ gives users free, unrestricted 24/7 access to a rich and diverse offer of more than 15,000 hours of news and entertainment content.
The platform will also offer more than 200 series including the cream of French drama such as HPI and Brocéliande; international series like Attraction and Monk; iconic daily soaps like Plus Belle la Vie and Demain Nous Appartient; and nearly 700 films and TV movies including Comment je suis devenu superhéros and La chute du Président (Angel Has Fallen).
The offer also includes around 50 special-interest FAST channels serving strong niche segments such as kids, French drama and entertainment. Users will also be able to access two verticals: “Impact” focuses on environmental issues, and “People” on celebrities.
TF1+ also features SYNCHRO, described as the first content recommendation engine in the world developed specifically to facilitate communal viewing.
An ad-free TF1+ Premium service is also available on all interfaces, for CHF 7.95 a month or CHF 79 a year.
