HbbTV unveils jury for HbbTV Awards 2024

Members of the Jury for the HbbTV Awards 2024 have been revealed by the organisers, the HbbTV Association.

The jury members are: Nicole Agudo Berbel, Seven.One Entertainment Group; Ophélie Boucaud, Dataxis; Laurence Delpy, Eutelsat; Paul Gray, Omdia; Vincent Grivet, HbbTV Association; Matthew Huntington, Huntington Digital Consultants; Samuele Macchi, Warner Bros Discovery and Carl Pfeiffer, Everyone TV.

“This distinguished jury of top-level executives and experts clearly reflects the key role the HbbTV specifications and the applications and services they enable play for leading European and global market players,” said Vincent Grivet, Chair of the HbbTV Association. “We look forward to reviewing the submissions for the HbbTV Awards 2024 which will once again show the innovative and creative potential of HbbTV-based state-of-the art solutions, providing a compelling TV experience as well as excellent marketing and advertising opportunities.”

The categories for the HbbTV Awards 2024 are: Best Use of HbbTV for Advertising-Based Solutions; Best Tool or Product for HbbTV Service Development or Delivery; Best Technology Innovation in an HbbTV Application; Best Use of HbbTV for Content Discovery; Best Marketing or Promotion of an HbbTV-Based Service and Judges’ Award: HbbTV Newcomer of the Year.

Providers of HbbTV applications and services are welcome to submit their entries through an online form. Companies can enter as many of the categories as they like.

The closing date for submissions is 30 September 2024. A shortlist of finalists will be put forward to the jury who will select the winners.

The finalists will be announced by 31 October 2024.
