Agile Content and Convergenze partner to launch Convergenze TV in Italy

September 20, 2024 14.13 Europe/London By Julian Clover

OTT services and video delivery solutions provider Agile Content is behind the launch of a new service in Italy for Italian telecom operator Convergenze.

Convergenze TV will feature over 100 live channels and 800 hours of video-on-demand content, offering a wide range of entertainment options that include sports, documentaries, TV series, films, and children’s programming.

Koldo Unanue, CEO of Agile Content said he was thrilled to enter the Italian market: “It represents another significant step in our international expansion as we continue to grow and bring high-quality TV experiences to new audiences around the globe.”

This partnership marks Agile TV’s first entry into the Italian market, expanding on its success in Spain where it serves over 800,000 customers through operators like MásMóvil and Euskaltel.

“Convergenze was able to launch its Media & Content Delivery Network division. With this new offer, we’re not only enhancing our expertise but also fast-tracking our ambitious plan to solidify our competitive edge by delivering unique products and solutions tailored to consumer needs,” said Convergenze’s CEO, Rosario Pingaro.

As part of the agreement, Convergenze will integrate Agile TV’s advanced technology directly into its services, allowing subscribers to access the new TV platform as part of its existing telecom packages.
