Funke Digital adds StoryZoo & Friends to Samsung TV Plus

September 17, 2024 21.29 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

German media company Funke Digital is expanding its offering on Samsung TV Plus with FAST Channel StoryZoo & Friends.

The children’s channel, available in Germany and Austria, offers an entertaining edutainment experience, stimulating creativity, imagination and early learning with series such as StoryZoo Adventures, Jungle Beat, Luchien and Molang, according to Funke Digital.

“FAST continues to evolve to meet the demands of its growing viewership,” said Benedikt Frey, Country Lead DACH & Benelux at Samsung TV Plus. “Audiences are responding to FAST because of its unique value proposition, offering specialised streaming content for all the family. We are very excited to further expand our partnership with Funke Digital in Germany and Austria and bring such high-quality educational children’s content to Samsung households.”

Verena Märtens, Head of Content Management Partnerships & Programme Planning at Funke Digital, added: “This channel is a wonderful addition to our offering on Samsung TV Plus and is fully in line with our commitment to high-quality content. With StoryZoo & Friends, we are particularly pleased to be able to provide a channel for the ‘Kids’ hub on Samsung TV Plus for the first time.”

“With StoryZoo & Friends, we offer children a varied, colourful and educationally responsible programme for the target group from over 25 different brands. The launch in German-speaking countries is just the beginning for us, as the programme will be successively expanded. We are both excited and proud to be working with Funke Digital to position the channel as a top international brand,” said Johannes Gropp, CEO & Founder of StoryZoo.

Funke Digital has been cooperating with Samsung TV Plus since 2016 and currently supplies the FAST service with 26 channels in eight European countries. As a full-service provider, the company supports content producers and network operators in distributing and monetising video content on FAST TV platforms and on the portals of the Funke Media Group.
