MainStreaming has announced its collaboration with Clubber TV, Ireland’s leading sports streaming platform.
Clubber TV is an Irish sports streaming platform specialising in the broadcast of Gaelic games. By empowering content creators to showcase sports events that might otherwise go unseen, Clubber TV opens new possibilities for live sports coverage. The platform provides a seamless, high-definition viewing experience on websites and mobile apps alike. In addition to live streaming, Clubber TV offers an extensive video-on-demand (VOD) library, enabling users to relive their favorite matches anytime, from anywhere.
Clubber TV utilises Mainstreaming’s transcoding system, which allows for the conversion of live and on-demand content into five different renditions, from 1080p to 360p, thus supporting adaptive streaming at multiple bitrates.
MainStreaming has configured 31 simultaneous live streams for Clubber TV, always ensuring a stable and high-performance connection. The streams are then distributed in HLS and DASH formats, providing smooth playback on both websites and smart TV applications. Also, the platform can record live events and produce VOD content, offering a complete experience for Gaelic games fans.
Laurence Doyle, COO of Clubber TV, commented on the partnership: “This deal is significant for us. By joining forces with an industry leader like MainStreaming, we’re incorporating cutting-edge, proprietary video delivery technology, specifically optimized for large-scale, broadcast-quality streaming. This not only elevates the user experience with superior viewing quality but also revolutionizes the standards of sports streaming. It enables us to expand our reach, engage more fans, and deliver an unprecedented volume of content.”
