Sports streaming service DAZN and FAST Channel platform Pluto TV are launching an exclusive free-to-air handball channel in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on 21 August 2024.
DAZN Handball x Pluto TV will show more than 50 live matches per season on Pluto TV, including the EHF Champions League and EHF European League for men and women, plus a selection from the EHF catalogue.
The expansion of the partnership with Pluto TV marks the next strategic step for DAZN in the DACH region, following the recent expansion of the offering in Switzerland to include Serie A and Ligue 1, as well as the cooperation with German free-TV channel DF1.
Featuring the Men’s EHF Champions League with the German teams Füchse Berlin and SC Magdeburg, the new DAZN Handball x Pluto TV channel will be airing one live match from each round of EHF Handball as a free-TV exclusive starting from mid-September. Included are also the final matches of both the men’s and women’s European competitions with teams such as THW Kiel, SG Flensburg-Handewitt, Paris Saint Germain and Champions League winners FC Barcelona.
DAZN Handball x Pluto TV will also air live matches from the Women’s champions League and European League for Women and Men, including the semifinal and final in all three tournaments, as well as highlights and recorded matches featuring German teams from the EHF catalogue.
The launch comes on the heel of the long-standing collaboration between DAZN and Pluto TV which included the launch of DAZN’s darts and women’s sports channels on Pluto TV last year.
