The device, like its reinvented Nest Learning Thermostat, leans on Google’s Gemini AI.
Google TV Streamer also doubles as a smart home hub for Google Home and Matter devices. It offers access to 700,000+ movies and shows through streaming apps like YouTube TV, Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV and more, in addition to live TV with 800+ free channels.
Where the AI comes in is in the curation of content suggestions across all subscriptions, organised conveniently in one place. Watchlists and recommendations are available for every member of the household.

Google TV Streamer includes an improved processor, double the memory and 32GB of storage for faster app load times and smoother navigation than previous generation Chromecast. 4K HDR with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos are all available.
The Google Home panel makes its TV debut, allowing users to check cameras, adjust the lights and temperature and close the blinds. It automatically syncs with your Google Home app, working across devices.
Google TV Streamer is available for pre-order today and will be available on September 24 for $99.99 from the Google Store and other third-party retailers.
