Xperi has said it has signed a seventh partner for its TiVo OS.
Smart TVs “Powered by TiVo” are now available across 15 European countries, including the largest economies, under 17 different brands.
The latest brand, described as a “a top 5 supplier of smart TVs into the U.S. market, with plans to launch TVs “Powered by TiVo” in the US in spring of 2025.”
TiVo’s sixth partner, initially identified as a “Japanese global brand”, was revealed in May as Panasonic.
The company narrowed second quarter losses to $21.9 million from $35.2 million.
Its pay-TV business ended Q2 2024 with over 2.25 million video-over-broadband (IPTV) subscriber households. TiVo Broadband has signed three new operators: Service Electric Cablevision, Eastlink, and HTC, bringing the total number of TiVo Broadband providers to ten.
Jon Kirchner, Chief Executive Officer, Xperi said the company expects an active footprint of seven million devices comprised of connected TVs and other broadband devices, including video-over-broadband solutions with revenues coming from the viewing of ad-supported content and usage of the TiVo media platform.
