Cartoon streaming service Boomerang is being closed by Warner Bros Discovery and its content transferred to the Max platform.
The seven-year-old service featured animation from the Warner Bros and Hanna Barbera libraries including Scooby-Doo, Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry and The Flintstones. It also featured more recent animations such as The Amazing World of Gumball and Lego Batman.
“As of September 30, 2024, the Boomerang app and website will no longer be available,” said a notice on the Boomerang website.
Current subscribers are being migrated to the Max ad-free tier at a discounted $5.99 per month. The regular Max With Ads currently costs $9.99 per month.
Boomerang will continue as a standalone channel available from pay-TV operators in the United States and other markets.
