Portugal’s fourth-largest telecoms operator has a new owner.
The Romanian operator Digi has purchased Nowo Communications from Spain’s MasMovil for €150 million.
The agreement comes just week’s after the Portuguese competition authority rejected a bid from Vodafone Portugal to take control of Nowo.
The company serves approximately 270,000 mobile and 130,000 fixed telephony clients. Nowo also holds spectrum licenses in the 1800 MHz, 2600 MHz, and 3600 MHz frequency bands.
The agreement is subject to regulatory clearance.
