Broadband access and distribution company ATX Networks has announced the appointment of Tom McLaughlin as its new CEO.
McLaughlin succeeds Dan Whalen, who is stepping aside from the role.
“We are grateful to Dan for his contributions over the past several years and are pleased to welcome Tom to lead ATX into its new chapter of growth,” said Carl Vogel, Chairman of the Board at ATX and Industry Advisor to KKR. “With a career in communications spanning over 25 years, Tom brings a wealth of experience to ATX as a commercially savvy, customer focused, highly strategic and results-oriented leader.”
Most recently, McLaughlin was President and Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Media Technologies, a leading value-added reseller of CATV and broadband electronic equipment. He has also worked for technology companies including CommScope, Arris International and Motorola.
“I have tremendous respect for ATX Networks and the quality that the ATX brand represents. I am excited to join this talented team at such a pivotal time and see substantial potential for continued growth,” said McLaughlin. “I look forward to building on ATX’s nearly 40-year track record of innovation for the benefit of its customers and the broadband community worldwide.”
ATX is owned by global investment firm KKR.
