Eurosport brings Olympics to Switzerland with MySports

July 25, 2024 10.10 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Eurosport is teaming up with Sunrise for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, offering seven themed pop-up channels with highlights from competitions on the Swiss telco’s MySports service.

The coverage includes a wide range of different sports such as tennis, football, basketball and judo on the Eurosport channels from MySports 3 to MySports 9.

“Thanks to the excellent cooperation over many years with Warner Bros. Discovery, the owner of Eurosport, we’ll be able to show our customers the best highlights from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games on seven themed Eurosport pop-up channels,” said Matthias Krieb, Head of MySports at Sunrise.

“In Switzerland, there are 81 national sports federations and 30 partner organisations representing a wide range of disciplines – from judo and gymnastics to football and table tennis. Collectively, they include around 18,300 sports clubs with an impressive 2.2 million active members. Many of these sport lovers often don’t get to watch their sport on TV. Our cooperation with Eurosport offers these people in particular a real benefit because we’re able to broadcast many hours of their favourite sport.”

Eurosport will show the highlights from the Paris 2024 Olympics on its main channels Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2. In addition, there will be seven themed pop-up channels (Eurosport 3 to Eurosport 9), allowing fans to follow their favourite sport, such as golf, tennis, football, basketball, volleyball, martial arts as well as more traditional disciplines. These seven pop-up channels will be available on MySports 3 to MySports 9:

MySports 3: 150 hours of tennis, table tennis and golf
MySports 4: 90 hours of gymnastics, trampoline, diving and synchronised swimming
MySports 5: 75 hours of football
MySports 6: 105 hours of basketball
MySports 7: 150 hours of judo, wrestling, boxing and taekwondo
MySports 8: 123 hours of handball
MySports 9: 130 hours of volleyball

All MySports and MySports app subscribers will have access to these channels on all broadcasting platforms. The themed pop-up channels, with original commentary in English, will be available from 26 July to 11 August 2024.
