Warner Bros Discovery has announced plans for a series of special features for its coverage of the Olympics Games Paris 2024 when the live action begins on Wednesday.
The features will be available on Max, HBO Max and discovery+, according to territory.
The in-app innovations include timeline markers for 15 sports, gold medal alerts and multi-audio feeds. In all 3,800 hours of live content will be broadcast with a peak of 54 simultaneous live streams anticipated.
The coverage will run from Wednesday 24 July to the Closing Ceremony on 11 August.

Timeline markers will be available for web and mobile app users covering sports including Beach Volleyball, Volleyball, Handball, Tennis, Football, Rugby Sevens, Athletics, Swimming, Track Cycling, Road Cycling, Mountain Biking, Boxing, Basketball, Judo and Artistic Gymnastics.
There will also be In-app pop-ups for mobile and web users on Max and all platforms for discovery+. Subscribers can toggle between events to ensure they witness the moment live, while easily navigating back to the previous stream.
Max users can add specific events to My List – providing a personalised Olympic schedule to enjoy throughout the 19 days of competition.
Subscribers will have access to multi-audio feeds with a choice of up to 20 languages for the majority of the 329 events taking place. More than 400 commentators will be in place for Eurosport across all 32 sports.
