On the English-Scottish borders, Carlisle is not necessarily the place you would associate with a global streaming service, but League Two club Carlisle United intends to change that.
Its signed an agreement with Endeavor Streaming to launch a global streaming service.
The EFL League Two club will stream every league game live internationally to reach new audiences around the world and drive deeper engagement with its fans.
Powered by Endeavor Streaming’s Vesper platform, CUTV will also offer viewers in the UK and beyond live coverage of the club’s press conferences, in addition to exclusive content such as player interviews, highlights, full match replays and behind the scenes footage. Endeavor Streaming will also provide customer support services.
CUTV will stream games live to audiences outside the UK, where Sky Sports is the domestic rights holder with selected games available to view domestically, which fans can enjoy via pay-per-view, monthly or annual subscriptions.
Carlisle United chief executive Nigel Clibbens said: “The development of our own streaming service powered by Endeavor Streaming’s Vesper platform is a significant development for the club.”
Endeavor Streaming’s Vesper platform is a complete end-to-end streaming solution that enables leagues, rightsholders and media properties to build upon and deliver memorable direct-to-consumer streaming experiences for their fans.
Fred Santarpia, President at Endeavor Streaming said. “Direct to consumer services represent a significant opportunity for clubs like Carlisle United to reach new audiences worldwide, while also deepening their relationship with loyal fans who are seeking more interaction beyond the traditional matchday experience.”
This season, the EFL is committing to an increased audio-visual production which will see more cameras at every broadcast EFL fixture, enhanced commentary facilities, new in-game graphics and improved features to deliver a premium experience for viewers at home and abroad.
It follows record domestic and international broadcast deals that have been secured for 2024/25 to 2028/29.
