Kabelnoord selects Zattoo for TV streaming

July 9, 2024 11.24 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Kabelnoord, a provider of internet, television and telephony in Northern Netherlands, is upgrading the TV streaming services for its 25,000 customers with the TV-as-a-Service solution from Zattoo.

Kabelnoord selected Zattoo due to its comprehensive, hosted and managed unicast platform, according to the Swiss TV streaming provider. Zattoo adds that its Android TV set-top box programme in partnership with Strong provides Kabelnoord with an out-of-the-box, Google-certified solution along with its white-label apps for mobile devices and smart TVs.

“Teaming up with Zattoo helps us make a leap forward in our customers’ TV experience. It provides a full-blown TV solution that meets our customers’ needs. We have come to know Zattoo as a pleasant and highly professional strategic partner, guiding us in launching the platform swiftly and professionally,” said Daan van Beek, CEO of Kabelnoord.

Jörg Meyer, Chief Commercial Officer at Zattoo, added: “Our alliance with Kabelnoord represents a pivotal advancement in our efforts to broaden our TV-as-a-Service presence throughout Europe. This partnership is further evidence that even seemingly small regional Internet Service Providers can offer an IPTV product that is absolutely on par with the offerings of large national telcos. The experience of working with Kabelnoord has been outstanding from the start, and their trust in our extensive service capabilities validates the strength and reliability of our established IPTV platform in the European market.”

With its TV-as-a-Service solutions, Zattoo serves over 30 TV platform providers and several million monthly active users across Europe. Customers include tier 1 operators like 1&1 in Germany, Eir in Ireland, Salt in Switzerland and Monaco Telecom.
