
Lisa Nandy has been appointed as the new Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport.
It follows the election of Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour party in the General Election on Thursday.
Ms Nandy’s predecessor, Conservative Lucy Frazer, lost her Ely & East Cambridgeshire seat.
In opposition, Ms Nandy was Shadow International Development Secretary. However, she was moved to Culture after Thangam Debbonaire, who was in line for the role, lost her Bristol seat to Green Party leader Carla Denyer
Ms Nandy has been a member of Parliament since 2010.
Chris Bryant will be a minister in the department for science, innovation and technology and the department for culture, media and sport.
