Eurosport is to close its Premium offer and direct subscribers to its Discovery+ and Max streaming services.
The Warner Bros Discovery sports network has written to subscribers advising them of new arrangements when the Premium service ends on 22 July 2024 in all countries and regions.
Monthly subscribers will not be renewed after 22 June and will receive Eurosport Premium free of charge through to its close. Annual subscribers will receive a refund of the unused portion of their subscription.
Eurosport’s Premium content will now move to either Discovery+ or to Max, largely dependent on whether the new Max service has launched in a particular territory.
For example, in Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Netherlands, the Nordics, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia and Spain, the destination is Max. In the UK, Austria, Germany, and Italy the content will be a part of Discovery+.
The move comes ahead of Eurosport/Warner Bros Discovery’s extensive coverage of the Paris Olympics, which begins on 26 July.
