Arcom has completed the authorisation process for the broadcast of France 2 and France 3 in ultra-high definition on DTT.
It follows a request from the French government to ensure that the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games are broadcast in the UHD format.
The now completed deployment process began at the end of January 2024 and was structured around eight successive phases. It covers more than two hundred broadcast sites, located in mainland France and overseas, and provides coverage for a large part of the population.
France 2 is already broadcast in UHD in many areas, including in the French dependencies. France 3 will be broadcast between July 10 and September 10, 2024 .
Nearly three quarters of the population will be able to access these channels via DTT with better image and sound quality.
