Ziggo Sport has extended its exclusive contract for the broadcasting rights to Moto GP for another five years.
The agreement with MotoGP rights holder Dorna Sport means MotoGP action, including Moto2, Moto3, MotoE and the Rookies Cup will be available on the Dutch sports channel until at least 2029. The Ziggo Sport team will also be present at the European circuits for the latest news and exclusive interviews.
“The interest in MotoGP in the Netherlands is growing enormously, partly thanks to the spectacular races full of overtaking and several winners, and of course due to the success of Collin Veijer in the Moto3,” said Marcel Beerthuizen, director of Ziggo Sport.
“Ziggo Sport has proven itself over the past three years as a great ambassador for MotoGP in the Netherlands. Together we continue to promote the most exciting sport in the world in the country. We see that this is clearly paying off in 2024, as ratings rise,” added Dan Rossomondo, CCO of Dorna Sports.
Ziggo has also reached a promotional agreement with Dutch rider Collin Veijer, who has already won two Moto3 GPs in the past year.
