
The French football league has agreed that beIN Sports France will hold the exclusive rights to Ligue 2 football between 2024/2025 and 2028/2029.
beIN Sports, which has been the rights holder since 2012, has secured all the available packages.
“The awarding of all packages to beIN SPORTS is excellent news for all Ligue 2 BKT clubs and their supporters, who will continue to enjoy remarkable expertise and coverage with all matches and magazines. I would like to warmly thank beIN SPORTS, which once again shows its attachment to French football,” said LFP President Vincent Labrune.
“We are very happy to renew the Ligue 2 BKT broadcasting contract until 2029 and allow our subscribers to have access to 100% of the exclusive matches. Since 2012, beIN SPORTS has proudly established itself as a leading sports distributor in France, offering a rich and varied catalogue of rights, based on reasoned and measured investments, reflecting our thoughtful and long-term strategy,” added “Yousef Al-Obaidly, President of beIN Sports France.
However, LFP is still hunting for a broadcaster willing to take on Ligue 1, and is actively considering the launch of its own channel.
