Canal+ Group has pushed its holding in the Hong Kong streamer Viu to 36.8%.
The move is in line with the terms of its strategic partnership with PCCW Group announced on June 21, 2023.
Canal has now released the last instalment of its US$300 million staggered investment, which it said is a renewed testimony to CANAL+’s commitment to develop Asia as one of the Group’s growth engine and underlines CANAL+’s confidence in Viu and its team.
Canal could potentially raise its holding up to 51%.
