Telenor Satellite has taken the new name of Space Norway following January’s acquisition by Space Norway Group.
Space Norway provides critical satellite services to governments, commercial maritime, land-based industries, and major broadcasters.
Morten Tengs, acting CEO of Space Norway Group, said: “Space Norway is now a powerhouse in the European satellite services arena, running some of the most innovative projects in the industry. Our leadership team has the experience and strategic focus to realise the company’s full potential in the coming decades, ensuring its continued technological development and financial growth.”
Space Norway is 100% owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries and includes technology and infrastructure where the Norwegian Government sees a need for control and supervision.
From One degree West, Telenor Satellite distributes over 1,000 digital TV channels and radio stations across the Nordic region and the rest of Europe.
