Niklas Brambring will step down from his position as CEO of TV streaming provider Zattoo, which he has held since January 2012.
The decision is at Brambring’s own wish and after lengthy planning in close consultation with the Board of Directors, according to Zattoo. The search for a successor has begun. Brambring will remain fully committed until a successor has been found and onboarded, the company stresses.
“These are exciting times and the team is doing a great job. Our subscription numbers in DACH are growing steadily,” said Brambring, adding that in Germany the unbundling of the cable TV subscription with tenants’ rent opens up opportunities. “Our B2B offering ‘TV-as-a-Service’ is developing very well throughout Europe. I look forward to continuing to work with the team and our Board of Directors and then to introducing the new CEO.”
Sam Hügli, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Zattoo, added: “We would like to thank Nick Brambring for his commitment and well-coordinated planning. Our largest shareholders, the TX Group and Bea Knecht, want to continue with profitable growth. To this end, we are looking for the best possible successor to strategically develop Zattoo together with the team and find the next growth drivers. We still have a lot planned for this year. It’s too early to say goodbye.”
