TeleGold, a new music channel aimed at fans of German-language pop music, will launch on Astra (19.2° East) on 3 June 2024.
The advertising-financed free-TV service is taking over the channel slot of its sister channel Deutsches Musik Fernsehen (DMF) on the frequency 12.633 GHz H (SR 22,000, FEC 5/6).
DMF is moving to the former slot of women’s channel sixx on 12.460 GHz H (SR 27,500, FEC 3/4). At the same time, DMF is expanding its schedule to not just show music, but also other content, for example movies, targeting a mainly female audience. The new direction is also reflected in the name of the channel which will in future just be called DMF.
DMF informs satellite viewers about the frequency change on its website. Cable operators who receive the signal from Astra and distribute it in on their networks are also affected.
In addition to its main channel DMF and new sister channel TeleGold, Deutsches Musik Fernsehen also operates the TV channels Volksmusik.TV, Lilo TV and DokuSat.
