Zattoo is introducing advertising technology specially developed for Sky Switzerland, which will be used for the new Sky Show Light subscription, which is partly financed by advertising.
The TV streaming provider is also taking over the marketing of Sky Switzerland’s advertising space with immediate effect.
The adtech solution developed by Zattoo for Sky Switzerland makes it possible to seamlessly integrate advertisements into video-on-demand content without Sky having to install additional software in its clients or devices, as the advertising exchange takes place on Zattoo’s servers. According to Zattoo, this technical implementation is “an absolute innovation and a sensible addition” to the server-side dynamic ad substitution technology developed by Zattoo more than eight years ago to overlay the advertising blocks in the linear TV streams.

Zattoo will also take over the marketing of the advertising space and offer it to the Swiss advertising market with immediate effect via its existing sales team headed by Martin Schlenker.
