The Board of Directors has elected Susanne Wille as the new Director General of Swiss public broadcaster SRG.
Wille succeeds Gilles Marchand, who has decided to step down at the end of 2024.
The position was publicly advertised. After examining internal and external candidates, the Human Resources Committee of the Board of Directors came to the conclusion that Wille was the most suitable person to tackle the challenges facing the media company in the coming years, according to an SRG statement.
Wille is currently Head of the Culture Department and Deputy Director of SRG subsidiary SRF which serves German-speaking Switzerland with TV and radio channels. She will take up her new position on 1 November 2024.
