Ahead of a busy weekend of football action, DAZN has given details of some of the audiences its country services have been enjoying.
On Saturday 25 May, DAZN will broadcast four finals; the FA Cup, the UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL), DFB Pokal and Coupe de France. It completes a month that has seen the culmination of league competitions the Premier League, LALIGA, Serie A, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1.

DAZN Germany has seen a 45% increase in the total number of viewers watching the FA Cup semi-finals from the 2022/23 season to the 2023/24 season. On DAZN Spain and DAZN Japan, the Manchester United vs. Liverpool (17 March) match attracted the highest viewership on DAZN’s platform, while the Manchester City vs. Chelsea (20 April) semi-final was the most popular match for DAZN Italy.
On DAZN Spain and DAZN Portugal, the Liverpool vs Manchester City match in the Premier League (10 March) gained the largest audience this season, while the Manchester United vs. Manchester City match (29 October) was also in the top three most-watched of the league’s matches. DAZN Portugal also offered fans a rich variety of league-related content, including its EPL pre-match and Premier Eleven shows. Interviews with Marco Silva, Bruno Fernandes, as well as with Andreis Pereira and João Palhinha have been particularly popular with DAZN’s users in the market.
The most popular Serie A matches this season, offered on DAZN Italy, were Inter vs. Juventus (4 February), Juventus vs. Inter Milan (26 November) and Napoli vs. Inter Milan (3 December), which have each attracted over 2 million viewers. The total viewership for this season on DAZN Italy is around 210 million viewers.
Since December, the most popular Bundesliga matches offered on DAZN Germany have been VfL Bochum vs. FC Bayern München (18 February), Bayer 04 Leverkusen vs. SV Werder Bremen (14 April), and SC Freiburg vs. FC Bayern München (1 March) – with the most popular match garnering an audience of more than 1.6 million viewers.
For DAZN Spain and DAZN Portugal, DAZN didn’t offer any data, however the most popular LaLiga match this season has been Barcelona vs. Real Madrid (28 October), with Barcelona vs. Girona (10 December) also ranking in the top three in both geographies amongst most-watched matches from the league.

Visa FanZone, launched for the UWCL quarter-finals and running through to the final, has reached fans in 170 countries in six different languages promoting Visa’s “Pep Talk” concept – delivered via a live chat function native to the DAZN platform and including polls, quizzes and prizes, such as a VIP trip to the UWCL final.
The quarter-finals and semi-finals in March and April, respectively, delivered 72m VISA brand impressions and 890,000 chat messages, votes and reactions in the Visa FanZone.
