Vecima expands European reach with Danish Reseller Agreement

May 15, 2024 06.53 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Vecima Networks has signed a strategic deal with telecommunications solutions provider Net-Com to become a reseller for Vecima’s Entra SC-1D Remote MACPHY (R-MACPHY) node in Denmark.

Vecima’s Entra SC-1D Remote MACPHY node enables cable operators to transition their networks towards more efficient and scalable infrastructure. By streamlining network design and enhancing operational efficiency through the relocation of PHY layer functions closer to the network edge, the SC-1D reduces latency and boosts bandwidth availability.

“We are thrilled to partner with Vecima,” said Preben Secher Mogensen, CEO of Net-Com. “Vecima’s top-tier products and support perfectly align with our growth strategies, focused on delivering DOCSIS and XGS-PON solutions to Danish internet service providers.”

“We eagerly anticipate Net-Com bringing the SC-1D to Denmark as a crucial component in delivering enhanced broadband experiences,” adds Ryan Nicometo, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Vecima Video & Broadband Solutions. “The SC-1D enables cable operators to upgrade their systems to meet the surging demand for high-speed internet and advanced services, all without completely overhauling their existing coaxial cable infrastructure.”

Vecima will be showcasing its cable and fibre access solutions, including the SC-1D Remote MACPHY Device, at ANGA COM 2024.
