Comcast is to package its Peacock streaming service with those from frenemies Netflix and Apple in the latest demonstration that the bundle is back.
The discount, known as StreamSaver, will be exclusive to customers of its internet service.
The announcement by Comcast Chief Executive Brian Roberts at an investor conference on Tuesday follows a similar announcement from Warner Bros. Discovery of a new bundle incorporating Max, Disney+ and Hulu.
In Europe, the Comcast-owned Sky has offers for both would-be Netflix and Apple TV+ subscribers, but this is yet to manifest itself as a full bundle.
Comcast’s Broadband Customers are offered a streaming box, known as Xumo, which is a version of Sky Stream.
The move can be seen as a benefit for customers, but also one that will require them to use their calculator app to work out the benefits of an increasingly complex array of tiers.
StreamSaver will include Netflix’s ad-based tier, which currently costs $6.99 per month. Further pricing details will be announced next week with the bundle launching by the end of the month.
