Eutelsat has confirmed its “analysing options” on partnering with external infrastructure invesrors in its ground network.
It followed market speculation on the matter.
“At this time this analysis is preliminary in nature, and there can be no certainty that it will lead to a specific outcome,” the Paris-based satellite operator said in a statement Monday.
Eutelsat’s ground station network is made up of antenna systems that link up with the operator’s satellite network.
Last year, the company launched a new facility in Bulgaria with the telco Vivacom. More recently, Eutelsat partnered with Emtel to build the first ground station in the Indian Ocean.
