Coverage of the Giro d’Italia will be seen across Europe and the United States on Eurosport, Max and discovery+.
The platforms will be the only place to watch all 21 stages of the year’s first cycling Grand Tour.
The action begins on 4 May with the new emperor set to be crowned at Rome’s Coliseum on 26 May.
Scott Young, Group SVP Content, Production and Business Operations at WBD Sports Europe, said: “Our approach to covering cycling is inclusive, innovative and immersive. We present more live men’s and women’s cycling than any other broadcaster including over 1,000 races per year but there is no bigger stage for the sport than a Grand Tour and we can’t wait to get started.”
In addition to Eurosport 1 presenting 123 live hours in Europe and Asia, Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) will also bring the action to the widest possible audience through free-to-air platforms in Germany (Eurosport 1) and Norway (Kanal 5). There will also be daily highlights in the UK (DMAX) and Poland (Metro).
WBD holds the exclusive rights to the Giro d’Italia in 45 markets in Europe. Selected stages are exclusive in Switzerland, Belgium and Spain with non-exclusive rights held in Italy.
From May 21, Max will become available across the Nordics, Iberia, and Central and Eastern Europe. discovery+ will continue to be available in the UK, Italy and Germany.
