The Walt Disney Company Germany and the German internet TV provider waipu.tv have signed a distribution agreement for free-TV, pay-TV and catch-up content.
The three TV channels operated by Disney in Germany are now part of the waipu.tv offering.
Family channel Disney Channel is available in SD resolution in the Comfort package and in HD quality in the Perfect Plus package. Users of the Perfect Plus package and the pay-TV option can also receive the two pay-TV channels National Geographic and National Geographic WILD in HD resolution at no additional cost.
In a second step, the agreement also includes catch-up content from the Disney Channel. This will be available on demand for customers of the respective package in the Disney Mediathek in the waiputhek on-demand service after broadcast.
