German cable TV operator Tele Columbus reported €119 million in revenues in the fourth quarter of 2023.
In a statement the Management Board said it expected a slight sales growth and a “significant increase” in EBITDA in 2024.
The company, which also uses the PŸUR brand, recorded an increase of 25,000 IP customers/ Internet and telephony generated €10.9 million more revenue in 2023 than in the previous year.
The phasing out of rules that mean the cost of the cable connection can be passed in directly to tenants had some impact, but Tele Columbus believes this can be offset by the rapid growth in revenue from internet and telephony customers.
Tele Columbus lost 81,000 TV customers in the fourth quarter of 2023, although contract migrations will still take a few months to become visible. As a result, the company expects to retain a large proportion of these customers through individual contracts in the first and second quarters of 2024.
