German media company ProSiebenSat.1 is launching a Swiss version of its streaming platform Joyn in June 2024.
Like in Germany and Austria, Joyn will offer films, series and shows on demand as well as TV channels as live-streams in Switzerland.
The streaming service Zappn, which ProSiebenSat.1 currently operates in Switzerland, will be merged into Joyn. The media company already took this approach when it launched Joyn in Austria around a year ago.
“With Joyn, we can offer Switzerland a comprehensive entertainment package with a wide range of exclusive content and lots of content on demand – for free. Joyn will form the heart of our digital entertainment portfolio in future. With a strong focus on the offerings from the media library and a comprehensive live-streaming section, Joyn will build on the established concept of Joyn Germany and Joyn Austria in Switzerland and continue the success story of Zappn,” said Andrea Haemmerli, Managing Director, Seven. One Schweiz.
