French communications regulator Arcom has launched a consultation into the sale of Altice Group’s media unit.
The company has agreed a $1.68 billion agreement to sell Altice Group to CMA CGM which is backed by the French-Lebanese shipping tycoon Rodolphe Saadé.
The consultation covers the DTT licenced services (BFM TV, RMC Découverte, RMC Story), local licences operating under the BFM brand, and radio licences.
Arcom is now seeking written contributions, which it should receive before 24 April 2024. The regulator will then publish an impact assessment.
