Video Solutions AG selects Whip Media for performance reporting

March 15, 2024 10.10 Europe/London By Broadband TV News Correspondent

FAST Channel and AVOD operator Video Solutions AG has selected enterprise software platform and data provider Whip Media to implement a content performance reporting and royalty payments system.

Whip Media FASTrack will enable Video Solutions AG to manage detailed reporting of the performance of its sports and entertainment streaming network wedotv. This will provide greater visibility into viewership and revenue earned from each of its programmes, according to Whip Media, adding that it will also enable the company to accurately and efficiently gauge content performance in a centralised, actionable view as well as automate partner royalties.

“We are growing the distribution of our FAST Channels across an increasingly wide number of platforms which brings huge challenges in terms of meaningful data with which we need to run our business. Each platform reports in a different format, uses different methods to provide access to that data, and the depth of data also varies greatly,” said Philipp Rotermund, CEO and Founder of Video Solutions AG.

“FASTrack helps us to normalise and collate platform data in an automated way and cross-reference it with other data sources including our ad server, playout provider and our own app platform. This single FASTrack view means we can track content performance at a title level and automate payments to content suppliers in a very simple way,” added Rotermund.

Reaching over 35 million households via TV and OTT networks, wedotv delivers free films, television and sports content across the globe. It is accessible on devices and platforms such as Samsung TV Plus, Roku, LG Channels, Xumo, Zattoo, Sling Freestream and Local Now.
