W-Sport celebrates International Women’s Day with launch in Turkey on S Sport Plus

W-Sport, the 24/7 channel dedicated to women’s sport, has further extended its reach by launching in Turkey on as part of streaming service S Sport Plus.

Launched in September 2021, W-Sport has distribution in Hong Kong on Now TV and in Malaysia on Astro, adding to existing broadcast deals in the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Portugal, Luxembourg and in over 30 territories in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Kelly Butler, Chief Executive Officer, W-SPORT, said: “This is another significant moment in the journey and development of W-Sport. We are delighted to partner with S Sport in Turkey – it’s the perfect way to mark and celebrate International Women’s Day 2024”.

“We continue to see such positive engagement with women’s sport worldwide and our content continues to showcase the teams and the athletes that inspire the current and next generation.”

W-Sport is available as part of the S Sport Plus TV Channels and can be accessed via subscription.

Zeynep Acar, General Manager, S Sport Plus said: “We are dedicated to making continuous investments in sports, with a special emphasis on women’s sports. The launch of W Sport during the week of March 8th was a delightful coincidence that added to our efforts and aspirations”.

W-Sport’s content offering includes a mix of live and delayed premium event coverage across numerous sports as well as topical magazine programming and documentaries. Including England’s Women’s Super League (WSL), Germany’s Frauen Bundesliga, Italy’s Serie A Femminile, Sweden’s Damallsvenskan and highlights from France’s Arkena D1 Feminine.
