Deutsche Telekom has announced plans to cooperate with Sky for the distribution of EURO 2024 matches to the hospitality industry as in publics of viewings.
Thousands of restaurants that hold a Sky subscription will benefit from the agreement. Deutsche Telekom is the rights holder for all 51 EURO 2024 Matches in Germany, which will be distributed by its Magenta TV unit.
Arnim Butzen, head of TV at Telekom, said: “We want to take the enthusiasm for the home EURO to a new level. Live broadcasts in the hospitality industry and classic public viewings are indispensable because these mass phenomena captivate millions of people. We are therefore very pleased that we have found the perfect distribution partner for this in Sky. MagentaTV will make the entire tournament an unforgettable experience for football fans.”
Up to three Magenta TV channels will be uploaded to the thousands of restaurants, hotels and pubs with Sky hardware. Interested companies that have not yet taken out a Sky subscription will have the opportunity to book the channels via Sky.
Simultaneous games will also be covered.
