Vodafone Spain reaches an agreement with DAZN

February 21, 2024 08.33 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Top flight football is returning to Vodafone Spain following an agreement between the telco and streaming platform DAZN.

In addition to LaLiga, subscribers will also be able to enjoy action from the Premier League, Formula 1 and MotoGP.

From today (Wednesday) Vodafone customers will be able from one of the three DAZN plans priced between £9.99 and £19.99 per month.

“The incorporation of DAZN strengthens our television proposal by including the sports content that our customers demand the most and consolidates our commitment to quality entertainment,” said Jesús Rodríguez, director of Vodafone TV.

Vodafone has been without LaLiga coverage since DAZN secured the rights to the league from the start of the 2022/23 season. The contract runs until 2026/27.

A total of 175 games from LaLiga will be available each season across 35 matchdays.

“This agreement facilitates access to the DAZN application for all Vodafone customers in Spain, reinforcing our vision of becoming the reference destination for sports fans globally. From today, even more people will be able to discover the universe of sports entertainment offered by DAZN and enjoy an innovative and integrated experience, where they can interact with other fans, play or buy merchandising while enjoying the best sports programming,” added Bosco Aranguren, CEO of DAZN Spain.

DAZN content will be accessible directly from the Vodafone TV 4k and 4k Pro decoders, through the DAZN app on smartphones and tablets, on the DAZN website, as well as from Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast, video game consoles and compatible Smart TVs.
