An adaptation of the critically acclaimed crime novel Sleboda is to be the first locally commissioned SkyShowtime Original production created for Polish audiences.
Sleboda is an adaptation of first part of the crime novels by Malgorzata Fugiel-Kuzminska and Michal Kuzminski. It will be produced by Magdalena Szwedkowicz (Forgotten Love) and directed by Michal Gazda (The Pack, Forgotten Love).
SkyShowtime Chief Content Officer, Kai Finke said: “After less than a year since the launch of our service in Central and Eastern Europe, I’m thrilled to announce that we are commissioning our first Polish original series, Sleboda. With this show we are marking our continued commitment to delivering high quality local entertainment to our members.”
SkyShowtime launched 10 originals in 2023 – it’s first year of operation – and so far in 2024 has announced a further four original programmes.
