German pay-TV channel Heimatkanal will launch on the cable network of Vodafone Deutschland on February 7, 2024.
The channel will be offered as part of the Vodafone Premium package, as Tim Werner, CEO of Heimatkanal parent company Mainstream Media, announced at a press conference, broadcasting in SD resolution.
Vodafone’s largest pay-TV package contains around 20 channels, including Heimatkanal’s sister channel Romance TV. Selected programmes from Heimatkanal will also be made available on demand on the Vodafone GigaTV platform.
Meanwhile, Sky Deutschland will terminate the distribution of Heimatkanal as part of its pay-TV platform on the Vodafone cable network on April 17, 2024. The channel will continue to be available to Sky subscribers via satellite and IPTV and also remain available on the Sky Q platform.
Heimatkanal, which launched in 1996 and primarily shows nostalgic German series and films, can also be received on further cable networks, IPTV platforms and streaming services, including MagentaTV, PŸUR, Zattoo, waipu.tv, M7, Amazon Prime Video Channels, YouTube Primetime Channels and TV.de.
