TVP’s English language news channel, controversially closed by the new Polish government, is expected to resume broadcasting in the next few days.
Wirtualne Media, which first reported the story, said the rebooted channel will be headed by Jerzy Kami?ski, replacing Filip Styczy?ski who was controversially sacked before Christmas.
Former Polsat executive Kami?ski is said to be assembling a new presentation team.
TVP World is one of three stations suspended by the new head of the public broadcaster, alongside TVP2 and TVP Infor, which have already returned to the air.
TVP World had distribution on around 20 Polish cable networks including UPC Polska, Orange, Chopin, Evio, Dolsat, JMDI and Supermedia. It was also available in the UK via Freeview/Channelbox.
