Slovenia’s public service broadcaster has closed down one of its DTT multiplexes, the communications regulator AKOS confirmed.
It follows the departure of several channels from Multiplex C leaving just free-to-air channels Nova 24 TV and Golica TV, representing just 20% of the capacity.
The move has been precipitated by a combination of falling audiences for the channels and the continuity cost of living crisis that led to an increase in the cost for being present in the multiplex.
INNET TV, which had subleased capacity on the multiplex, withdrew its channels last autumn.
A plan to move Nova 24 TV to another multiplex was rejected by the regulator.
