Altice is to launch a new edition of its i24News channel in the Hebrew language.
The new service will join the three existing i24News international news channels broadcast in English, French and Arabic.
“The launch of i24News in Hebrew is the result of a detailed analysis of the Israeli market, the objective of which is to provide the Hebrew-speaking public with tailor-made media adapted to their expectations and needs,” the Altice company said in a statement.
i24News in Hebrew will be advertising-supported channel and available for free on all OTT and digital platforms in Israel. Recruitment of journalists, presenters, editors, content creators and producers is underway. A fourth studio specially dedicated to the Hebrew channel is being developed within the i24News facilities at Jaffa Port in Tel Aviv.
“For years we have been promising to launch an i24News channel in Hebrew, and we are now ready for this mission. The Israeli public deserves a relevant, responsible, 24-hour news channel with balanced content, and that is precisely what i24News in Hebrew will provide,” said Frank Melloul, CEO, i24News.
