The new German free-TV channel DF1 has secured distribution on several TV platforms via cable, IPTV and OTT.
Strategic distribution partnerships have been signed with Vodafone, Magenta TV (Deutsche Telekom), PŸUR (Tele Columbus), waipu.tv and Zattoo.
“It’s great that DF1 is carried on the most relevant platforms via cable, IPTV and streaming right from the start. Thanks to the flexibility of our platform partners, we are largely using ServusTV Deutschland’s former distribution slots and were thus able to master the important issue of being found as a new service. We are happy and grateful that we managed a smooth debut despite the extremely short ramp-up time,” said Sarah Afshar, Head of Distribution at DF1.
The advertising-financed channel, which launched on January 1, 2024, can also be received unencrypted via Astra (19.2° East) and as a livestream at www.df1.de.
