AWS M&E executive joins ThinkAnalytics as Worldwide CEO

December 6, 2023 10.45 Europe/London By Julian Clover

ThinkAnalytics has announced the appointment of Marc Aldrich as its Worldwide CEO.

Aldrich joins from Amazon Web Services (AWS) where he held the position of General Manager for the Media and Entertainment (M&E) Industry Business Unit since 2019. He’ll join the TV content discovery company in January.

At AWS, Aldrich spearheaded a global team of industry technical and business specialists and was responsible for developing the M&E industry strategy as well as building key business relationships with customers and partners across the industry globally.

Eddie Young, Chairman of ThinkAnalytics, commented, “It is a real pleasure and honor to appoint Marc as our Worldwide CEO. His industry insight and his exceptional business prowess make him the right person to lead ThinkAnalytics as we head into the most exciting growth trajectory in our history. I have known Marc for over 10 years both at Cisco and AWS and have always admired his achievements as a leader who nurtures talent to build the most diverse and high performing teams that always put the customer first. His induction as a Cable TV Pioneer this year is testament to his success in the industry.”

Commenting on his appointment Aldrich said, “ThinkAnalytics has an envious position in the M&E and Telco industry as an AI innovator that has cemented its leading role in content discovery and viewer insights. Taking advantage of ThinkAnalytics’ unique use of first party data, I relish the opportunity to build on this achievement across the board and in the fast-growing targeted TV advertising space.”

Marc has 28 years’ experience in the media and entertainment industry. Prior to AWS, he led the Americas sales region for Cisco’s Global Service Provider Segment, responsible for its service provider strategy and business relationships for cable, telco, and media customers as well as related channel partnerships and go-to-market segments.
