Telenet’s Play Media has secured the Dutch language broadcasting rights to the UEFA Champions League.
From 2024 to 2027, the Flemish cablenet will also broadcast the UEFA Europe League & UEFA Conference League.
“These rights fit perfectly within our long-term vision concerning entertainment and will consequently structurally contribute to our customers’ viewing experience and the value of their package,” said Dieter Nieuwdorp, Chief Commercial Officer Residential & SOHO.
Telenet also has the rights to the Premier League, Formula 1, ATP & WTA tennis and FIH Hockey Pro League.
Free-to-air Champions League rights will be split between commercial broadcasters RTL and VTM for the 2024-27 cycle.
