
According to the regulator ANACOM, the total number was 118,000, or 2.6%, more than a year earlier, with 4/P increasing by 151,000, or 6.3%.
4/5P offers were the most used, with 2.5 million subscribers (55.0% of the total subscribers of package offers), followed by the 3P offers (with 1.7 million subscribers, 36.2%).
1P, not sold as a package, accounted for 68.4% of mobile accesses and 15% of fixed accesses. It is estimated that in July 2022 isolated residential offers would amount to just 1% of total residential fixed broadband, 3% of total residential pay-TV subscribers and 5% of total fixed telephony subscribers.
Meanwhile, ARPU, at €36.72 excluding VAT, also recorded the highest annual growth since 2016 (+5.7%). ARPU was €45.21 in the case of 4/5P offers (+4.7%) and €28.72 in the case of 3P offers (+4.5%).
At the end of Q3 Meo was the provider with the highest share of subscribers to bundled services (41.4%), followed by Grupo Nos (35.3%), Vodafone (20.5 %) and Nowo (2.8%). Compared to the same quarter last year, Meo and Vodafone increased their share of subscribers (+0.3 p.p. in both cases), while the shares of Grupo Nos and Nowo decreased (-0.3 p.p. and -0.2 p.p., respectively).
In net terms, Nowo was the only one of the providers to reduce the number of package subscribers.
By type of offer, Meo had the highest share of subscribers in all types of offer: 2P (45.3%), 3P (39.3%) and 4/5P (42.1%). On the other hand, Meo also had the highest share of revenue from bundled services (41.2%), followed by Grupo Nos (40.4%), Vodafone (16.7%) and Nowo 1.6%).
Compared to the same quarter last year, Grupo Nos increased its revenue share (+0.3 p.p.), Meo and Vodafone maintained their shares, while Nowo decreased (-0.2 p.p.).
