M7 Deutschland is now also providing network operator NetCologne with full IPTV licence rights, further expanding their long-standing partnership.
In addition to traditional cable TV, where NetCologne already works together with M7, the Cologne-based telecommunications provider receives an IPTV licence rights package from M7 that includes numerous premium channels and international channels as well as an extensive non-linear rights package in addition to linear free-to-air TV rights. NetCologne also relies on M7’s marketing support in the IPTV area via various sales and communication channels.
“We are pleased to extend our long-standing, successful cooperation with NetCologne to the IPTV sector and thus enable viewers to enjoy modern, flexible TV on all end devices with a variety of attractive TV channels and additional interactive functions. The agreement also covers future TV solutions that NetCologne is already securing for its customers,” said Marco Hellberg, Managing Director of Eviso Germany, the M7 Business Partner in Germany.
Volker Kähler, Head of Product and Infrastructure Management at NetCologne, added: “Our goal is to continue offering NetCologne’s TV customers a great TV experience and I am very pleased that we are taking our portfolio to the next level by expanding our partnership.”
NetCologne, with a reach of around two million households, is launching its new IPTV product NetTV über Internet on November 15, 2023. The multiscreen service, for which NetCologne is also collaborating with Zattoo, includes over 100 public and commercial TV channels, many of them in HD quality, and additional functions such as replay, time-shift and cloud recording.
