Digi Communications has consolidated its position as the leading provider of pay-TV services in Romania.
The company’s latest results show that it ended the third quarter with 5,640,000 subscribers, or 5.2% more than a year earlier. It also saw strong growth in its mobile (5,625,000, +19.3%) and broadband (4,487,00, +9.9%) subscriber totals, though its fixed telephony total fell by 5% to 901,000.
Meanwhile in Spain, Digi ended Q3 with a record 6,113,000 RGUs, or 32.6% more than a year earlier. The majority were mobile (4,469,000, +23.7%), but the biggest growth was in broadband (1,242,000, +66.5%) and fixed telephone (402,000, +61.4%).
Digi’s revenues in Q3 amounted to €429.5 million (+14%) and adjusted EBITDA €129.3 million (+21%). Its RGU total in the three markets it currently operates was 23,175,000, or 15.4% more than a year earlier.
